At Muchi Design we use mostly Canadian Solid Wood, so our most popular options are Black Walnut, White Oak, Hard Maple, Wormy Maple and Ash and our standard thickness is between 1.5″-1.75″.
As for the price, generally, you can expect the wooden countertops to fall in the range of $60 to $100 per square foot, including delivery and installation in Toronto and GTA.
Of course, when it comes to countertops made with unusual woods or required many detailed cuts and customization you can run up to $200 per square foot.
