Take Your Home Décor To The Next Level
A feature wall, also known as an accent wall, is the main focal point of the room and can enhance the look of your home. Any wall can be easily transformed into a feature wall by adding wood elements into your room.
The right wood colour will create an astonishing contrast with your existing walls and will make the wall stands out, taking this way your space to the next level. Of course, you can combine it with wooden slats, to elevate the final result or find more ideas on your wood wall.
The common focal point of the living room is usually the wall where the Television will be placed or the fireplace because that is where people will be gathered, having their chairs, sofa, or couches facing towards. In addition to that, if you have wooden stairs, we can always pick similar wood and combine the colours of your interior.
Some may even use these feature walls to create a hidden storage room where it conceals in plain sight. It is a good way to keep the living area clean and tidy instead of multiple shelves and cabinets laying around.
The wood feature wall in the dining table can level up the aesthetic of your dining area. Common place to use a wood accent wall in a dining room is usually the “end wall” where the most inner wall is located.
However, depending on the home type, some dining rooms share the space with the kitchen. In that case, it is most common to have a feature wall on the wall facing the kitchen.
When it comes to bedrooms, the beds are the main focus of the room thus the feature wall is usually behind the headboard, highlighting the area around the bed, setting a mood and center the attention to the bed.
Some may make the feature wall on the opposite of the bed where they will mount their TV or having their wood wardrobe, making it the main focus of the room instead of the bed.
Commercial Accent Wall Design
Wooden walls and accents are in trending uprise due to the variety of styles that will fit your brand’s identity and the mood you want to set in your building.
With a wood feature wall design, your business will stand out from the competition and add depth and character to your company’s unique building.
Commercial stores such as retail, fashion boutiques, restaurant, etc., usually use the feature wall on the side they want the most attention to by their customers.
These are usually in the main room or the main focus of the room. For example, in a restaurant, you will want the feature wall to be somewhere where most people gather such as the main dining area.
On the other hand, for a storefront, it is common to have a feature wall at the very entrance of the store to set the tone for the whole store.
There can be multiple wood accent walls in a given space. Some stores or restaurants are big enough, with different rooms can have several feature walls setting a different tone and mood.
A feature wall or some may call it, an accent wall is a great way to highlight the room. It helps to set the mood and tone of the general space, creating a focal point for people to gather. A wood accent wall is not only good at creating a sense of comfort, it also helps to improve the elegance of the space without too much effort. Wood is flexible and can be made into various patterns and shapes giving you your own unique, one, and only feature wall.
Restaurant Feature Wall Project
Our most recent project is the custom wood accent wall in a hot pot restaurant. The design was created by us alongside the restaurant owner.
The wood feature wall is created using only one type of solid hardwood, maple. In a setting like the hot pot restaurant where the surrounding is a darker shade; darker wall and flooring; maple with its light wooden colour stands out effectively among the surrounding, with the help of lightning, it truly brings out the natural beauty of maple’s wooden colour and pattern.
This helps to find the center, focal point of the restaurant, giving the space its own unique personality that can be found nowhere else. The wood feature wall is especially good in restaurants, it can not only make yourself stand out among other stores, making it more memorable for others, and it can also upgrade the interior vision of the restaurant.
